Trump Sends 'Surge' Of Federal Agents To Chicago, Albuquerque As Unrest Continues

President Trump has dispatched federal agents to Chicago and Albuquerque as part of “Operation Legend,” a “surge” of security forces meant to assist local law enforcement in curbing violent crime.

The move is a response to spikes in violence in some cities and continual clashes between police and protesters amid the ongoing demonstrations for racial justice. It also comes as Trump is doubling down on a message of “law and order” ahead of the election.
