Judge Blocks Second Planned Federal Execution

The second federal execution scheduled for this week was stayed with hours to go by U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, D.C.

Attorneys for Wesley Purkey argue he has dementia and is incapable of understanding the reason for his sentence.
