C.P.E. was another son of Bach--the second (who survived childhood). After an ill-advised flirtation with law school, he served for years in the court of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. That's where he wrote his Flute Concerto in D minor. We'll hear it performed at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, with Carol Wincenc (WIN-senss) as the soloist.
