Al Jazeera Plans English-Language Web Site

The Arabic-language satellite news channel Al Jazeera plans to launch an English-language service in Spring 2003. The Qatar-based news organization received criticism for its editorial judgment, but that hasn't stopped computer users in the West from visiting the company's Arabic-language Web site -- 39 percent of its traffic comes from America and Europe. Could an English-language television network be far behind? Joanne Tucker, the managing editor of Al Jazeera's forthcoming English-language site, joins host Neal Conan to discuss Al Jazeera's plans for the West.
