The traditional Polish dance called the Krakowiak (krah-KOH-vee-ack) was well known for a few hundred years by the time Frederic Chopin got his hands on it. He created his own version of the dance, and we'll hear a rendition for two pianists, by Kevin Fitz-Patrick and Alain Jacquon (ah-LAH(n) zhah-KOH(n)), in concert at the 2002 Newport Music Festival in Rhode Island.
