Finding Freedom on the Bus
Beth Simon has turned her city's transit system into a community. Beth, 42 and mentally retarded, rides the buses all day, six days a week -- for fun. And recently, her sister Rachel Simon started riding with her. As NPR's Joseph Shapiro reports, Rachel saw it as an opportunity to get to know Beth better. She's written a book about it, called Riding the Bus with My Sister.
