La Cucaracha Goes Nationwide

NPR's Mandalit del Barco profiles Lalo Alcaraz, the creator of America's first daily syndicated Latino political comic strip. The strip features an oddball cast of characters, and one very unexpected master of ceremonies -- an anthropomorphic, militant Chicano cockroach. See some of Alcaraz' work, and a self-portrait of the artist penned for npr.org.
