Rachmaninoff via Respighi

Conductor Serge Koussevitzky is responsible for the music we hear next. He liked Rachmaninoff's Etudes Tableaux for piano, but wanted to hear them played by his orchestra, the Boston Symphony. So he enlisted Ottorino Respighi to arrange five of the pieces. We hear those five Etudes Tableaux, played by the Atlanta Symphony and conductor Robert Spano, in concert in Atlanta.
