Haydn's Gypsy

If gypsies haven't gotten much respect over the centuries as a people, their music has certainly had a big influence on classical music. A good case in point is Haydn's Trio in G, the so-called "Gypsy Rondo" Trio. It's played in concert at the 2002 Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival by pianist Cecile Licad, violinist Cho-Liang Lin and cellist Ralph Kirshbaum. Then we go to Piano Festival Northwest to hear Marina Lomazov play "October" and "August" from Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons."
