United Airlines

A federal board has rejected United Airlines' request for one-point-eight-billion dollars in federal loan guarantees. In making the decision, the Air Transportation Stabilization Board said the airline's business plan is "not financially sound." United has working to avoid bankruptcy. Lynn Neary talks with NPR's Cheryl Corley in Chicago. (3:30)
