A Prizewinner at the Abyss: We'll hear music by this year's winner of the Pulitzer Prize for music ... American composer John Corigliano (koh-ril-YAH-noh). Flutist Claire Hoffman and the Miami String Quartet join bassist Anthony Falanga in concert at the Grand Canyon Music Festival. They'll play Corigliano's "Voyage" for Flute and Strings. The performance took place in September at the Shrine of the Ages in Grand Canyon National Park... We'll also get a taste of the piece that won the Pulitzer for Corigliano. It's his Symphony No. 2 for String Orchestra. We'll hear some of the world premiere, recorded in concert by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. (Omni Classic Recordings at the Grand Canyon, and WGBH in Boston)
