Yugoslavia - Serbia Tensions

Jacky Rowland reports that Serbian police today retook a village near the border with Kosovo which had been partly occupied by ethnic Albanian separatists. The rebels had already abandoned the village and there was no fighting. Both sides have been observing a cease-fire, but the authorities in Belgrade are insisting the militants pull out of a three-mile buffer zone on the Serbian side of the border. The Serbs sent army and police reinforcements into the region after the rebels killed four policemen last week.
