Microsoft Appeal

Microsoft today asked a federal appeals court to overrule a lower court that ordered a breakup of the software giant. The Microsoft brief argues that District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson was mistaken when he decided that the company was an illegal monopoly. The filing says that Microsoft has not engaged in anti-competitive behavior, and that Judge Jackson betrayed his bias against the company in comments to the press. NPR's Larry Abramson has the story.
