Ratcatcher

Los Angeles Times Film Critic Kenneth Turan reviews the Scottish film Ratcatcher one of the movies featured at the Cannes International Film Festival last year. The story is set in one of Glasgow's poorest neighborhoods during a garbage strike in 1973. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, it focuses on a kid's eye view of a grim world. (
