After the Florida Supreme Court issued a ruling that permits the recounts to continue in three counties, it appears the election won't be over for at least several days. An appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court is possible and there are legal challenges to the Florida vote still pending in other courts. How much longer might the post-election fight drag on? And is it in the best interests of the Republican and Democratic parties to fight to win the presidency at all costs?
