Problems with LAPD
NPR's Ina Jaffe reports from Los Angeles on the conclusions of a study into allegations of misconduct in the Ramparts anti-gang unit of the LAPD. The study was ordered by the Civilian Police Commission. It finds that the police scandal has damaged the credibility of the entire criminal justice system in Los Angeles. Some Ramparts officers have been tried for framing and brutalizing suspects.
