In the 1980's, Ricky Skaggs was one of the top acts in country music with a dozen number 1 hit singles. But in 1996, he gave up his solo country career to return to his first love, bluegrass. Ricky Skaggs has his own record label and a new CD. Its a tribute to the father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. Big Mon features songs performed by artists outside of bluegrass like, John Fogerty, Bruce Hornsby, Joan Osborne and the Dixie Chicks. Join Juan Williams for a performance chat with Ricky Skaggs.
