"Women in the American Political System: An Encyclopedia of Women as Voters, Candidates, and Office Holders" is written by Dianne Bystrom, director emerita of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center at Iowa State University, and Barbara Burrell, professor emerita of political science at Northern Illinois University.
