Step outside on a brisk fall evening and sometimes you will find that the air is perfumed with the unmistakable pungent odor of a skunk.
Human contact with skunks is usually limited to smelling them, hitting them, or nearly hitting them with a car, or trying to wash their odor out of a dog's fur. On this Wildlife Day edition of Talk of Iowa, wildlife biologist Jim Pease joins to talk about what these fascinating creatures are up to when they are not spraying our dogs.
