For years the common wisdom was that kids need to sit still and listen in order to concentrate. New research suggests that's not the case.

In a recently published study, Spyridoula Vazou, an assistant professor in the department of Kinesiology at Iowa State University, found that even ten minutes of cognitively complex movement improved concentration and focus in elementary students.
