They say that October is the optimal month to plant bulbs. Typically, there are a few really nice days that you can go out and get it done. Cindy Haynes says, "Don't procrastinate!" Plant before the ground freezes. Once the ground freezes, it's too late and you will be forced to grow your plants inside.
