The state insurance commissioner is taking over a co-op that was financed by the Affordable Care Act.
Nick Gerhart went to court last week and got a judge's order placing him in the role of "rehabilitator" of Co-Opportunity Health. Iowa Public Radio's Clay Masters talks with Des Moines Register Healthcare Reporter Tony Leys about this ongoing story. Leys says although the commissioner has taken over, he's telling policyholders to consider switching providers.
