On Friday, Nov. 15, at 2 PM at Iowa City's downtown Java House, IPR Studio One's Ben Kieffer will host a special hour of "Java Blend" with JD Eicher.
Ben Kieffer will chat with JD Eicher of JD Eicher and the Goodnights about his band's conceptual albums, and the band will also perform a live 50-minute set. This program is free and open to the public!
JD Eicher & the Goodnights’ soaring and graceful pop-rock songcraft thrives on concept. In the past four years the band has released a trilogy of albums about movement and shape, reflecting on how their band has changed and grown among other things.
The group has been compared to Coldplay, The Killers, and Death Cab for Cutie. The group's music brings with it an overall theme of serenity that puts listeners at ease while giving their ears a listening adventure. Their latest album, Into Place, was produced by Grammy nominated producer Dustin Burnettwho, who has worked with the Newsboys, Augustana, and Rush of Fools.
