Terry Anderson, the former hostage in his birth place of Lorain Ohio, on June 21, 1992.

Terry Anderson, a graduate of Iowa State University, was taken captive in 1985 on the streets of Beirut after a tennis match.

Shiite Hezbollah militants kidnapped him, placed him in the trunk of a car and took him to a secret location. He was held hostage until 1991 and spent nearly seven years in captivity. He’s written about his experience in his book “Den of Lions.” During this interview taken from Iowa Public Radio's archives, Katherine Perkins talks with Anderson about what happened.
