Beginning Monday, September 29, 2014 IPR listeners will have a second chance to hear our locally-produced talk shows.
Talk of Iowawill be rebroadcast at 9:00 p.m. each weeknight on the AM stations of IPR’s News stream. River to River will follow at 10:00 p.m. These award-winning shows represent a significant investment in local programming by IPR. An evening rebroadcast is an opportunity to share this programming with more of our listeners. These shows will replace the evening broadcast of The Diane Rehm Show.
In addition, IPR is returning another show to its weekend lineup. On the Media can be heard Sundays at 7:00 p.m. on the AM stations of IPR’s News stream beginning October 5th. Many listeners were disappointed to see On the Media dropped from IPR’s weekend schedule. Given that feedback and the evening rebroadcast of IPR’s talk shows, we’ve decided to replace Best of IPR Talk with On the Media. The resources once put towards producing Best of IPR Talk can now be redirected to local news gathering.
