Mozart’s bittersweet romance tells the tale of the nobleman Belmonte and his quest to rescue his fiancé Konstanze and their two servants from the palace of Pasha Selim. All four fall into the hands of Pasha Selim and whatever fate he chooses for them. Tenor Ben Bliss portrays the role of Belmonte with soprano Amanda Woodbury performing as Konstanze, both making their Des Moines Metro Opera Mainstage debut.
