GOP Vice Presidential hopeful Paul Ryan visits UNI

A crowd of nearly one thousand packed a gymnasium at the University of Northern Iowa Friday afternoon  to hear Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan tell them why he and Mitt Romney should lead the country. Ryan criticized the President’s leadership and says the nation will continue in an economic crisis if he is re-elected, " here’s what he said four years ago, if you don’t have any fresh ideas then you use stale tactics to scare voters, if you don’t have a record to run on then you paint your opponent as someone you should run from. You make a big election about small things that’s precisely what Barack Obama said in 2008  and that’s exactly what’s he’s become  now that he’s president."

GOP Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan energizes the crowd during a campaign stop in Cedar Falls Friday

Addressing the jobless rate which has increased to 7 point 9 percent, Ryan says that’s not what an economic recovery looks like, he says  it’s totally unacceptable.
