The Folk Tree will not be heard this week; instead, Iowa Public Radio's Studio One stream will be airing NPR's live coverage of the Newport Folk Festival on Sunday, July 29, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and running until approximately 6:30 p.m. Performers include Conor Oberst (of "Bright Eyes" fame), mandolin whiz kid Chris Thile's band The Punch Brothers, soul man Charles Bradley, singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, and more.
