Nathaniel Rateliff 's story is the "overnight success" tale of a formerly obscure musician who comes out of nowhere with a song that catches fire, propelling the musician and his band to seemingly universal awareness. Of course, there's a lot of hard work, struggle and even desperation behind that story. St. Louis, MO-born Rateliff established his musical career in Denver, CO, performing with different bands and also as a solo artist. He was about to call it quits on that career when his last-ditch effort Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats took off in mid-2015. "S.O.B." was the song that went viral from the album. Now comes the second studio release, Tearing At The Seams. And more touring, including an Aug. 4th stop at the 2018 Hinterland Festival in St. Charles, IA.
